QUICK ANSWER
A meaningful delivery commitment identifies the start conditions and each milestone. Production completion is not the same as arrival at the project site.
01Agree on release conditions
Check whether timing starts after deposit, final specification approval, artwork approval or another agreed event. Unresolved accessories or certificate requirements can delay release. List the required buyer inputs and who approves them.
02Separate the milestones
Request dates for material readiness, production, testing, document review, packing and dispatch. If a project needs staged deliveries, agree on quantities and drum allocation for each lot. Avoid comparing a dispatch date from one supplier with an arrival estimate from another.
03Plan for changes
Confirm how a specification change, extra test or revised delivery destination affects cost and timing. Shipping and customs schedules also need separate coordination. No standard lead time is claimed for 10000KK; it must be confirmed against the actual order.
